Discover groups

You can find collector communities on CollectionStation through the Groups directory, search, and featured lists. Public groups appear in the directory so you can browse topics, meetups, and clubs before you join.

Hidden groups do not appear in discovery lists unless you are already a member. You usually need a direct link or a group invitation to find them.

Browse the Groups directory

To discover new groups:

1. Sign in to CollectionStation (recommended so you can join and see My Groups).
2. Open Groups from the site header.
3. On All Groups, browse the list or use Search to find a group by name.
4. Open a group card to read its description and see recent activity.
5. Click Join Group on public groups you want to join.

Use My Groups to see communities you already belong to.

Sort and view options

On All Groups, use the sort menu to change how groups are listed:

• Recently Active — groups with recent posts or activity (default)
• Newest — recently created groups
• Name A–Z — alphabetical order
• Popular — groups with higher engagement

Switch between grid and list view using the layout buttons next to the sort menu.

Featured groups sidebar

On the Groups page, the Featured groups panel on the right highlights communities you may want to explore. Use its tabs:

• Newest
• Active
• Popular

Click a group name to open it, or click See all to return to the full All Groups list.

Find groups from your feed

You may also discover groups when:

• Another collector shares a group post in your feed.
• A collector mentions a group you might like in messages or profile activity.

Open the group from the post or link, then click Join Group if the group is public.

Public, private, and hidden groups

Group cards show whether a community is Public, Private, or Hidden, and its type (for example General, Meetup, or Club).

• Public groups can be discovered and joined from the directory.
• Private groups appear in the directory only when you are already a member; otherwise you need an invitation.
• Hidden groups are omitted from discovery and search.
