Unpublish and republish a Space

Unpublishing a Space hides it from the public Spaces directory and from collectors who do not manage it. Only you and people who manage the Space can see and edit it while it is unpublished.

To unpublish or republish a Space, you must be a Space owner or Space admin with permission to manage Space settings.

Unpublishing is temporary. It does not delete your Space. For permanent removal, see Delete, deactivate or unpublish your Space.

Unpublish a Space

To unpublish a Space:

1. Sign in to CollectionStation.
2. Switch to the Space you want to unpublish using Switch Space or Profile at the top of the screen.
3. Open Settings → Account.
4. Select Unpublish Space, then click Continue.
5. Click Confirm to unpublish your Space.

After you unpublish:

• Collectors who are not Space managers cannot find the Space in the directory or follow it.
• You and your Space team can still view and edit the Space.
• An unpublished Space notice appears on the Space page for managers.

While your Space is unpublished, do not use it to interact with others on CollectionStation.

Republish a Space

To make an unpublished Space public again:

1. Sign in to CollectionStation.
2. Switch to the Space you want to publish.
3. Open Settings → Account. You can also click Edit on the unpublished Space notice at the top of your Space page.
4. Select Publish Space, then click Continue.
5. Click Confirm to publish your Space.

When your Space is published again, collectors can find it in the Spaces directory and follow it.

Unpublishing vs deactivating

These options are different:

• Unpublish Space — The Space is hidden from the public, but managers can still see and edit it. You can publish it again from Space settings.
• Deactivate Space — The Space is disabled and hidden from most shared surfaces. See Deactivate or reactivate your CollectionStation Space.

If you do not see these options

You may not see Unpublish Space or Publish Space when:

• You are not signed in.
• You are not representing the Space or do not have manage access.
• You are not a Space owner or Space admin.

Only Space owners and admins can change whether a Space is published.
