Adding connections

Connections on CollectionStation are mutual. Both collectors must agree before you are connected. When someone accepts your request, CollectionStation usually follows both ways automatically so each person's public updates can appear in the other's feed.

You can have up to 5,000 connections per collector account.

Find a collector to connect with

To add a connection:

1. Sign in to CollectionStation.
2. Find the collector you want to connect with. You can:

• Use Search in the site header.
• Open Collectors and browse or filter by name.
• Open Connections → Suggestions for recommended collectors.
• Click a collector's name from your feed or another profile.

1. Open the collector's profile.
2. Click Connect.

The collector receives a connection request. After they Accept connection, you become connections.

You can also send a connection request from Collectors cards or from a profile hover card when Connect is available.

Accept or decline a request

If another collector sends you a request:

1. Open their profile and click Accept connection or Decline, or
2. Go to your Connections hub and open the Requests tab.

Cancel a request you sent

If you sent a request and want to withdraw it, open the collector's profile and click Cancel request.

If you cannot connect with someone

You may not see Connect, or a request may fail, when:

• You are already connected.
• A request is already pending.
• The collector blocked you, or you blocked them.
• You or the other collector reached the 5,000 connection limit.
• Site or privacy settings prevent the action.
